Performance Bond and Payment Bond

A Performance Bond guarantees the faithful performance of the contract and payment (aka. payment bond) of materials and labor by the contractor to all subcontractors and suppliers.

Typically a performance bond and a payment bond are issued together, as they are closely related. The surety bonds are submitted by the winning bidder after a contract has been awarded.
