A $2,000 surety bond is required for every process server and must be filed with the County in which the applicant is conducting their business. The bond requirement for process servers is outlined in the California Business and Professions Code Section 22353. This bond is required to protect anyone that the process server rendered services to. The original process server bond must be filed with the County in which he/she is doing business to be considered active. We will mail the original bond to you within 24 hours of applying, conditional upon approval and payment received.
